The iconic black band T-shirt is a defining symbol of the metal genre subculture. Among the diverse backgrounds of metalheads, spanning gender, race, religion, profession, and more, the T-shirt remains the most prominent unifying thread. Before gigs, the band T-shirt often sparks conversations among metalheads. This project aims to capture the varied personalities of metalheads, each wearing their cherished T-shirt, through the lens of a camera. It serves as both an homage and a celebration of the black band T-shirt, a shared symbol that unites us amidst the incredible diversity we represent.

The series was created between 2019 and 2024, though the story of the black band T-shirt is far from complete. The project may continue in the future.
