This was one of the most intense shooting experiences. The challenges of living without one or more of our senses are immense and often overlooked. For Harriet, who was unable to use her senses during the shoot, it must have been an extremely difficult experience. Being unable to see what was going on, hear instructions, or communicate effectively can lead to feelings of isolation, frustration, and helplessness. Imagine not being able to enjoy the taste of a delicious meal or the sound of your favorite song. Or not being able to see the beauty of nature or the faces of loved ones.
Living without all five senses is not just a physical challenge, but also an emotional and mental one. It requires immense strength and resilience to adapt to this kind of life. It is a humbling experience to witness this kind of hardship and to realize how much we take for granted the simple pleasures that come from using all our senses. We should all strive to be more empathetic towards those living without all five senses, and work towards creating a more inclusive and accessible world for everyone.
